Let the numerator be x
Let the denominator be y
So, the fraction will be  \frac{x}{y}  
ATQ, :-
 \frac{x+0.12x}{y-0.02y} =  \frac{6}{7}              ----(1)
(I have written +0.12 and -0.02 in short form, which is in the formx+ \frac{12}{100}x, and y -  \frac{2}{100} y)

Simplifying (1)

7x + 0.84x = 6y - 0.12y
=>7.84x = 5.88y
=> \frac{x}{y} =  \frac{5.88}{7.84} =  \frac{588}{784}          ------(2)

Simplifying (2) 
==========

 \frac{x}{y} =  \frac{3}{4}
