Manu was heating oil to fry potato chips. The cooking oil all of a
sudden caught fire; he poured water to extinguish the fire. Do
you think this action was suitable. If yes, why? If not, why not?
In such a condition what should Manu have done?

No his action was not suitable. This is because cooking oil is lighter than water and it must have been floating over water. He should have used a fire extinguisher in such a situation.

I FEEL THIS IS ACTION IS NOT SUITABLE
THE REASON:
oil is light and hence doesn't sink in water but floats...
as a result application of water is useless...
in such cases a fire extinguisher must be use
