In a circuit diagram containing an ammeter, a resistor of 2 ohm in series with a combination of 2 resistors (4 ohm each) in parallel and a voltmeter across

the parallel combination, will the potential difference across the 2 ohm resistor be the same as that across the parallel combination of 4 ohm resistors? Give reason.

Pleeeeeez help and answer the above question ASAP!!!! Need it very urgently!!! Please helppppp ppl!!!

Since the equivalent resistance of the two 4 ohm resistors will be 2 ohm which is same as that of the resistor in series.
Hence the equivalent circuit is two 2 ohm resistors in series and the potential drop will be same across the two equivalent resistors.
