A car moving along a straight line covers a distance of 1km towards the east in 100 s.

Find (i) the speed of the car. (ii) the velocity of the car

Speed = Distance / time
 = 1000 m /100 sec
= 10 m/s
10*18/5 km/hr = 36 km/hr

Velocity = 10m/s towards east
