Hi there! Have questions about your homework? At Brainly, there are 60 million students who want to help each other learn. Questions are usually answered in less than 10 minutes. Try it for yourself by posting a question! :D

Statement:After 4 years, Mr. Sharma will 4 times his son's age of 9 years ago.

Then, lets express in equation form-

Mr. Sharma age = s Son age= r

r = s/2or s = r2

after 4 years...

s+4 = (r - 9)*4

Impossible Answer - The answer to this question cannot be found. It is impossible as both the person's age is unknown. So, I have just expressed Mr. Sharma and his son's ages in mathematical expressions.

Let the son's age be x and Mr Sharma's age be 2x. After 4 years Mr Sharma will be = 2x+4 His son's age 9 years ago= x-9 4(x-9) = 2x+4 4x-36 = 2x+4 2x = 40 x = 20 Therefore, Mr Sharma is 40 years old and his son is 20 years old now.
