XYLEM IS A CONDUCTIVE TISSUE.

XYLEM IS A PLANT TISSUE THAT CONDUCTS WATER AND MINERAL SALTS ABSORBED FROM THE SOIL TO ALL THE PLANT CELLS . THE MAIN CELLS IN THE XYLEM ARE TRACHEIDS, VESSELS , AND FIBER. THE TRACHEIDS FROM TUBES THAT COMMUNICATE WITH NEIGHBORING TUBES THROUGH PORES ;THUS HELPING IN CONDUCTS.

EPIDERMIS GIVES PROTECTION:

THE EPIDERMAL CELLS ARE BRICK SHAPED WITH NO INTERCELLULAR SHAPED . THE CELLS OF EPIDERMIS ARE THICKER. THEY CONTAIN CELLULOSE AND PECTIN WHICH HELP IN PROTECTION FROM PARASITES AND DISEASES CAUSING ORGANISMS. SMALL PORES CALLED STOMATA ARE SEEN IN THE EPIDERMIS OF THE LEAF WHICH PROTECTS THE PLANT FROM LOSS OF WATER.
