In a right-angled triangle ABC, which is right-angled at B, tan A. Find the value of cos A and sec A..

When i saw the solution it was written that: let BC =12k and AB=5k

so my question is that why did they assume BC nd Ab to be 12k and 5k respectively.

It was written to make u understand. It was chosen because they form Pythagoras triplets. You may take any value u want
