EARNINGS PER MONTH = RS. 16000
MONEY SPENT ON FOOD = 1/4*16000
                                         =RS. 4000
MONEY SPENT ON HOUSE RENT = 3/10*(16000 - 4000)
                                                    =RS. 3600
MONEY SPENT ON EDUCATION OF CHILDREN = 5/21*(16000 - (4000+3600))
                                                                        = RS. 2000
THEREFORE,MONEY LEFT AFTER SPENDING = 16000 - (4000 + 3600 + 2000)
                                                                       =16000 - 9600
                                                                      = RS. 6400

Amit earns Rs. 16000 per month. he spends 1/4 of his income on food; 3/10 of the remainder on house rent and 5/21 of the remainder on the education of children. How much money is still left with him.

Solution:
         Amit's Monthly earning = 16000
           Money Spent on Food = 1/4 *16000
                                             =4000
         Money spent on house rent = 3/10*(16000 - 4000)
                                                 = 3/10*12000
                                                 =3600
Money spent on education of Children = 5/21*(16000 -4000 -3600)
                                                             =5/21(16000 - 7600)
                                                             =5/21 (8400)
                                                             =5*400
                                                             =2000

Therefore Money left with Amit = 16000 - 4000 - 3600 - 2000
                                                  = 16000 - 9600
                                                   =6400

Hope this helps you!!!
Thank You!!!
