EUKARYOTES:                                                                                                                  A eukaryote is any organism whose cells contain a nucleus and other organelles enclosed within membranes.
  PROKARYOTES:                                                                                                         A prokaryote is a single-celled organism that lacks a membrane-bound nucleus (karyon), mitochondria, or any other membrane-bound organelle.

Prokaryotes are the organisms with prokaryotic cells. These cells have nuclear material without nuclear membrane. For example: bacteria and blue green algae.

Eukaryotes are organisms having eukaryotic cells. Theses cells have a well organised nucleus with a nuclear membrane. All organisms other than blue green algae are eukaryotes .
