Prokaryotes are the organisms with prokaryotic cells. These cells have nuclear material without nuclear membrane. For example: bacteria and blue green algae.

Eukaryotes are organisms having eukaryotic cells. Theses cells have a well organised nucleus with a nuclear membrane. All organisms other than blue green algae are eukaryotes .
