A force is being applied on a body but it causes no acceleration. What possibilities may be considered to explain the observation?

CLASS - XI PHYSICS (Laws of Motion)

According to newtons first law of motion f=ma where f=0 a=0 this means that if no force is applies on the body the acceleration will be zero. if a body is at rest it will continue to be in the state of rest and if it is in a state of motion it will continue to move with the same spped along the same direction.thus a body not acted upon by any force remains to be in the same state if rest of motion .
