at 30° to the horizontal and goes to the hook in ceiling and is inclined at 45° to the horizontal. Find the tensions in the two chains.


By lami's theorem
T1/ sin(90+45) = T2/sin(90+30)= T3/sin (105)

T1/sin 135= T2/sin 120 = 1500/sin105
.•. T1 = (1500*sin135)/sin105
= 1098.96 N
T2= (1500*sin120)/sin105= 1346.11/N
