than $44 what is the most she earns for each day's regular work?


Say that she gets $x on her job as a cabby. This means she gets $2x from her real job everyday. According to question, all this adds to $44. This means x+2x=44. Solve:
x+2x=44 \\ 1x+2x=44 \\ x(1+2)=44 \\ 3x=44 \\ x=\frac{44}{3}
This means she gets $\frac{44}3 or $14 \frac{2}3as a cabby.
Also means she gets $\frac{44}3\times2=\frac{88}3 or $29\frac{1}3 on her real job.
