When a particle is moving along a circle...consider that a particle made 1revolution ..the distance covered by it is the circumference of the circle = 2πr,...and the displacement (the distance between the starting point and final point) = 0..since, after making one revolution, it comes to the same position where it started

The distance and displacement or not same when the distance traveled is not in a straight line .and some other cases.
