ONCE I WAS WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT . HIS NAME WAS GAUTAM. DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY WE HAD AN ARGUEMENT AND I SLAPPED GAUTAM . GAUTUM WAS HURT BUT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING , HE WROTE IN THE SAND MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME . THEN WE KEPT ON WALKING UNTIL WE FOUND AN OASIS . THEN GAUTUM WENT TO TAKE BATH BUT UNFORTUNATELY HE GOT STRUCK IN THE MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING BUT I SAVED HIM. AFTER HE RECOVERED , HE WROTE ON A STONE : TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE . THEN A QUESTION CAME INTO MY MIND THAT WHY HE WROTE IN THE SAND WHEN I SLAPPED HIM AND WHY HE WROTE ON STONE NOW . THEN I ASKED HIM. HE LOOKED AT ME AND SMILED AND REPLIED - " WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US WE SHOULD WRITE IT IN THE SAND SO THAT WINDS OF FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY . BUT WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR US WE MUST ENGRAVE IT IN STONE WHERE WIND CAN'T ERASE IT. Hope helped u plz mark it best :)

The power of forgiveness is wonderful.Forgiving a person needs even more work than taking revenge and helps to transform that person into a better person. This incident is when I was in class 4.
There was a seat mate of mine whom I hated the most. He was very irritating and disturbing too.One day we had a fight. At that moment I should had informed this to my teacher to change our seats but instead of doing this in anger I took my revenge by tearing all the pages of his english textbook. He soon realized that I had done this work.At first I said him that I had not done this but then I realized my mistake and agreed that I had teared the pages of his book.He was very surprised and by looking at him I thought he will complain about me to teacher and I will be severely punished. But just then he smiled and said "It's okay" and left. I was more surprised than ever.I spend the whole day thinking how did he forgive me even I have done so much wrong with him. That was the day on which I realized that forgiveness is nobler than taking revenge. The next day I went to my teacher and accepted my own mistake. As I had accepted my mistake I was even more relieved and happy. And after that day we became very close friends now also we are very good friends.
