Mistletoe is a parasitic plant. Parasitic plants are heterotrophic plants in which a plant lives on another plant and derives its nutrition from the latter. It falls under the category of partial parasite. Such plants can prepare their own food but depend on other plants for the need of water and minerals.
Mistletoe is also used for Christmas decoration. According to the early Greeks, it has mystical powers also.
