The different types of fire extinguishers are:-
1. Water and foam- They should only be used for Class A fires and not for Class B &     C.
2.Carbon Dioxide- They are used for Class B and C fires. They are ineffective on        Class A fires.
3.Water Mist- They are primarily used for Class A fires but are safe for Class C fires     too.
4.Wet Chemical- They are mostly used for Class A fires.
5.Dry Chemical- They are used only for Class B & C fires.
6.Dry Powder- They are used for combustible fire metals i.e. Class D fires.
7.Clean Agent- Primarily used for Class B & C fires but big clean agents are used to    extinguish Class A, B & C fires
