If P(x) = x4 – 2x3 + 3x2 – ax – b when divided by (x – 1), the remainder is 6, then find the value of a + b.

please answer fast its very urgent

The answer is   - 4.
When you divide x^4-2x^3+3x^2-ax-b  by  x-1 (try it)    you get the remainder -(a+b)+2.
Since the remainder is already given as 6,
                             Therefore,     -(a+b)+2=6
                          which gives       (a+b)=  - 4
