the forces are balanced and since forces are balanced there net force will be 0N . and according to newton's 1st law of motion a body at rest will remain in rest and a body in motion will continue to be uniform motion unless and until it is compelled by an external force  .
since net force is 0 therefore no external force is there therefore the body will continue to be in uniform motion .

see it is said that the forces r acting in opp. directions and the object is moving in the same direction with d same speed though force has been applied so the forces must be balanced to maintain the same speed
