We know that the value of 'g' depends upon the radius of earth(or any other body). As our earth is a bit flattened at the poles, the radius of the earth at the poles is less than that at the other places.As 'g' is directly proportional to 'r', therefore as 'r' will decrease the value of 'g' will also decrease at different places of the earth.
