Evaporation is a bulk phenomenon. It requires heat ,
wind ,liquid medium .eTC. in this process a liquid medium gets converted into vapour. eg. water
Sublimation is a surface phenomenon . In thus process a solid turns into vapour without changing into liquid medium. Eg. Napthelene balls , acetone.
The only difference between them are -
in evaporation solid medium changes to liquid medium, then only it vaporises .
but in sublimation solid directly changes into vapour.
