Let us consider a triangle ABC, in which
AC = broken part of tree (hypotenuse)
BC = the ground (30m)
AB = lower part of tree
Now,
given: angle ACB =30°
tan 30°= AB/BC
1/√3= AB/30m
AB= 30/√3 m

sin 30° = AB/AC
1/2=(30/√3)/AC
AC= (30/√3)*2
AC= 60/√3
As we need to find height of tree,
height of tree= AB + AC
=30/√3+60/√3
=90/√3
=51.96m
we get 60/√3 as the height of only part of the tree
90/√3 is the total height of the tree and according to the question we need to find height of the tree(AB+AC) n not height of AB. so, 90/√3 is d right answer.
