Why do HCL, HNO3 etc. show acidic characters in aqueous solutions while solutions of compound like alcohol and glucose do not show acidic character?

HCl and HNO₃ dissiciates in water to form hydrogen ions ( H⁺) .The hydrogen ion combines with H₂o to form hydronium ions (H₃o).Therefore they show acidic properties . On the other hand compounds like alcohol and glucose do not dissociates in water and hence they do not show acidic properties.
