Given speed of river=  3km/h = 50m/min
distance = speed × time  (min)
              = 50 × 1
              = 50 m
Assuming that the river is cuboidal
Length = distance travelled in a minute = 50m
Breadth = 45 m
Height = 2m
Volume of this cuboid = Volume of the river in it
⇒ lbh
= 50×45×2
= 100×45
= 4500m³
We know that 1m³ = 1000 litres
⇒4500m³ = 4500000 litres
The amount of water that rums into the sea per minute = 4500000 litres
