A cylinder pillar is 1 m in diameter and 4.2 m in height. find the cost of white washing the curved surface of the pillar at the rate of rs 15 per metre

   1.    Diameter  =  1m
      ∴  Radius     =   \frac{1}{2}m
   2.    Height     =   4.2m     

We know, 
       Cylinder Curved Surface Area2 \pi rh
                                         r = radius, h = height
∴    Curved Surface Area (metre square) =  2*\frac{22}{7}*\frac{1}{2}*\frac{42}{10}m^2
                    By cancelling, we get —   \frac{11(42)}{7(5)} m^2

     Cost rate is 15 rs. per metre square.
∴   Net cost (of painting curved surface) =   \frac{11(42)}{7(5)}*15  rs.
