Two blends of tea costing Rs 35 per kg and Rs 40 per kg respectively are mixed in the ratio 2 : 3 by weight. If one fifth of the mixture is sold at Rs 46

per kg and the remaining at the rate of Rs 55 per kg .Find the profit per cent.

The Brainliest Answer!

Let us assume the quantities of the two blends be 2x and 3x respectively..
so total weight of the two blends =2x+3x=5x
so,CP of 1st blend=35*2x=70x and CP of 2nd blend =40*3x=120x
so,total CP +70x+120x=190x

now 1/5 of the mixture =(1/5)*5x=x
hence SP of 1/5 of the mixture =x*46=46x
remaining amount of the mixture =5x-x=4x
so ,the SP of the remaining mixture =4x*55=220x
so,total SP=220x+46x=266x

now sp>cp,so there is profit
now profit =sp-cp
