As we know that perpendicular from the center to chord, bisects it.
so length of half chord = 4 cm
so, Applying Pythagoras' theorem,
r² = 4² +3² = 25
r = √25 = 5 cm

Length of chord from centre is measured perpendicularly.So,
It forms a right angled triangle.(Bisected chord,Length from centre and radius as its hypotenuse)
So, length of Bisected half chord = 4 cm
Now, Applying Pythagoras' theorem,
r² = 4² +3² = 25
⇒r = √25 = 5 cm
