Amoeba obtain its food by engulfing the food particles by phagosytosis .

The amoeba obtains its food by the process of endocytosis. Amoeba has a cell membrane which engulfs the particles with the help of pseudopodia and then forms a vocuole around it .
When the prey is completely trapped , it gets digested by digestive enzymes secreted by amoeba.
