If you dip an iron nail into a copper sulphate solution, it comes out copper plated. But if you dip a copper nail in iron sulphate, will it be iron plated?

Why? Please answer quickly today itself ... its my exam tomorrow..... Fidha

no the nail will not be iron plated because according to reactivity series the position of Cu is lower than Fe AND CU IS LESS REACTIVE SO IT WILL NOT DISPLACE THE POSITION OF Fe AND NO REACTION WILL TAKE PLACE

Yes the displacement reaction follows reactive series and Cu is placed much lower than Fe. So iron is not plated if we put Cu nail in iron sulphate.
