The y -axis is a line of symmetry for the figure ABCD where A B have coordinate (3,6),(-3,4)respectively.

I) find the coordinate of C and D.
II) name the figure ABCD and find its area.

The Brainliest Answer!
Assuming  C and D are reflections of A and B (respectively)

Therefore A on reflection by Y-axis = C co-ordinates
= (-(3), 6)
= (-3,6)

Therefore B on reflection by Y-axis = D co-ordinates
= (-3, -(4))
= (-3,-4)

Figure ACBD is a rectangle. (you need to plot the points on a graph)

Area = length*breadth
On observing graph,
length = 6 units
breadth = 2 units

Therefore, area = 6*2 = 12 sq.units
2 4 2
