The three provisions of the first written laws of cricket were

1)Two umpires were selected from the gentle men community who set the disputes among the members of the team.

2)The stumps must be  22 inches high and the bail across them six inches.

3)The ball must be between 5 and 6 ounces and the two set of stumps 22 yards apart.
