No saponification isn't a neutralization reaction.
saponification is the reaction of obtaining soap.
...because in neutralization the charge becomes 0.
but soaps are basic in nature. so acco to this saponification isn't a neutralization reaction.

Alkaline Hydrolysis of tristers of higher fatty acids producing soaps is called saponification .In biological systems it is conversion of unsaturated fats into saturated fats by bile juice which is also called emulsification hence it is not neutralisation reaction.
