Find the radius of a right circular cylinder whose curved surface area is 2/3 of the sum of the surface areas of two circular faces.Height of the cylinder

is 15 cm

Good question.Keep asking. Also * means raised to the power (square)

CSA of cylinder = 2.π.r.h
Sum of the two circles =
πr*2 +πr*2 = 2πr*2

Accordingly, 2
πrh = 2/3 (2πr*2)

2πrh =4/3πr*2
rh = 2/3
2/3r = h
r = 3/2h
r=3/2 x 15(height)
r=45/2 = 22.5
Radius of cylinder = 22.5

Curved surface area of cylinder=2pi r h

Sum of surface areas of two circular faces=2pir^2h

ATQ, 2pi r h=2/3pi r^2 h
