1) Literal meaning is the exact definition of a word.
Metaphorical meaning is the implied meaning of the word.
For example: Dove - literal meanin: a bird. metaphorical meaning: representation of peace.

2) Countable nouns are nouns that refer to something that can be counted. They have singular or plural forms.  
Uncountable nouns are nouns that do not have regular plural forms because they can't be counted. 
Example: Countable - woman/women; country/countries.
Uncountable - rain, flour, wood

3) Structure words are words that are commonly used. They indicate grammatical relations of words in the sentence. Determiners, Prepositions, Conjunctions, and Pronouns are structure words.

4) Alliteration - repeated sound of the first consonant in the series of words.  Example : Peter Piper picked a pack of pickled pepper.
Assonance - repeated vowel sounds in a series of words that starts with different consonant sounds. Example:  The engineer holds the steering wheel.
