diameter of cylinder = 28cm             so, radius = 14cm

height = 17cm

new height (after leaving 2cm top and bottom of frame) = 21cm

∴ curved surface area of cylinder = 2* pie r h

                    = 2 * 22/7 * 14 * 21

                    = 1848 sq cm

area of circular top = pie r^2

                               = 22/7 * 14 * 14

                               = 616 sq cm

actual cloth used to cover the frame = 1848 + 616 = 2464 sq cm

area of cloth to be purchased = twice the area of actual cloth used

                                               = 2 * 2464

                                               = 4928 sq cm......................Ans
