As You are given 42 LCM, you can write 42 = 2 * 3 * 7, it suggest that any number can have maximum power of 2, 3 and 7 is one, so the combination of numbers you can get- (1) ; Both the numbers has 2 in common -> 2 * 3, 2 * 7 -> 6, 14 (2) ; Both the numbers has 3 in common -> 3 * 2, 3 * 7 -> 6, 21 (3) ; Both the numbers has 7 in common -> 7 * 2, 7 * 3 -> 14, 21

As both the numbers are Two Digit Numbers, so 14 and 21 are the numbers. Answer = (14, 21) or (21, 14)
