SOLVENT:Is the the substance that dissolves any other substance in it.Here Water is the solvent.and if you add something in it.

SOLUTE:The substance that you add in water is called as the solute.(there is no solute in Pure water)

SOLUTION:Solute + solvent forms the solution
CLACULATING MOLARITY OF WATER:
MOLARITY=No of moles of solute/Vol of solution in litres
density of water = 1 g/cm3 at 4ºC
grams in 1000 ml=1000
one ml is = to 1cm3, so divide 1000 by the molar mass of water
Molar mass of H20=18
therefore Molarity = (1000g/L)/ (18g/mol) = 55.5 g/L = 55.5 M
