A plantation crop is a crop grown in huge plantations and they are most like to be tea, coffee or rubber. These are grown in huge plantations , which in capital and labor intensive. Whereas , fiber crops on the other hand are field crops , which are grown mainly for their fiber to be used in the agro-based industries like cotton and jute. The difference is that fiber crops need not require a lot of labor and huge plots of land are not necessary.
