I would prefer Iodine Test.
When the iodine solution is put on the leaf, the leaf where the starch is present turns blue-black colour. The place where the starch is absent remains unchanged in colour.
So, when the leaf turns blue-black colour when iodine solution is put, we can say starch is present.
