Well stars appear white where as sun which is also a star appears to be yellow this has to do with the physiology of eye . The wavelengths of the light produced by stars and sun differs sun produces more wavelengths which are visible to our eye where as stars produce less wavelengths of light which can't be visible to the eye stars are also yellow,orange and blue but due to the structure of eye and the wavelength taking effects that stars are white where as sun is yellow

Hotter Stars appear Blue whereas Colder Stars appear Red
This is due to Doppler Effect
