Two equal sides of a triangle are each 5m less than twice the third side. If the perimeter of the triangle is 55m, find the lengths of its sides.

Equal sides = a and b.
a = b = 2 c - 5
perimeter = a + b + c  =  2c-5+ 2c - 5 + c =3c - 10
Hence    3c -10  = 55 meters
3c = 65 meters
c = 65/3 meters
a = b = 130/3 -5  = 115/3 meters
