the basic pattern of  a sentence is
ram is playing with his car.
in this ram is the subject, the subject is about whom we speak about in the sentence. in this sentence we say ram is playing with his car. we are speaking about what ram is doing.
a verb is called an action word . it says what the subject does in a sentence.
object is word in the sentence in which the subject is acted upon.
in this sentence , ram is playing with his car. it shows what ram is doing?

Usually the pattern of a sentence is like this... Subject - Verb - Object. For example, Tara loves playing the piano. So the subject is Tara, because she is doing all that is mentioned. Then the verb is playing, because Tara was playing the piano. And finally, piano is the object because what is Tara playing? She is playing the piano. Hope you understood.
