Under the leadership of gandhi civil disobendience movement was launched in 1930 AD.
it began with dandi march.
on 12 march 1930,gandhiji with some of his followers left sabarmati ashram at ahmadabad and made their way towards dandi , a village on west coast of india.
after travelling for 25 days and covering a distance of 385 kms the group reached dandi on 6 april 1930.
gandhiji protested against salt law.
the dandi march was starting of civil disobedience movement
as reports and photographs of this extraordinary movement began to appear in newspapers , there was a growing tide of support for india's freedom struggle.
