let the density of liquid be = d
acceleration due to gravity = g

    The apparent weight of the ball = weight - buoyancy force 
                   = (V d/7 ) g - (V d) g = - (6 Vdg) / 7
    The apparent weight the force upwards.  So to push it inside the water and hold it inside water a force of 6 Vdg/7 is required.
