When the angle of incidence is more than the critical angle than the light moving from the denser medium from the rarer medium gets reflected in the same medium and follows all the laws of reflection.This phenomenon is known as Total Internal Reflection

when light is incident on a medium at any angle, there is always some reflection and some refraction. when it is more than critical angle, then it is totally reflected. there is no refraction at all.

the phenomenon due to which a ray of light ,while travelling from an optically denser medium to rarer medium gets reflects into the denser medium ,at the surface of separation is called total internal reflection.

conditions for total internal reflecton:

1)rays of light must travel from an optically denser medium to rarer medium

2)the angle of incidence must be greater than critical angle.
