i think its something called hydronium and hydroxide!?
Water is a polar solven t and so it only disdolves polar natured solvents in it.For an example,a soap molecule contains two ends, and it's head part gets dissoles in water, while the tail of carbon chain dissolves in oily dirt. Thus,in this way we wash our clothes clean.
