We  should'nt drink water right aftr running.. because it can degrade our survival ability.. it can cause vomitting and coughing. and it can also cause illness .
Because when we run our body temp. rises up and when we drink water our body temp. comes down suddenly which causes illness to our body.

we should not drink water when we are gasping for more air, excited a lot -- as water tries go into the air pipe -- often we are unable to gulp water properly. It may cause trouble.
we can sip water a little slowly to quench thirst. but not drink a lot of water. This is what athletes do when they run marathon race or do fast walking races. They take small sips of glucose water on the way without stopping.
thank you very much

We will get a series of  coughs and swallowing actions., when the body reflexive mechanism prevents water going into respiratory tract.  Often, water comes out through nose too.
