If ABCD is a square of side 14 cm and APB and CPD are semicircles such that CD and AB are diameters of circle and the semicircles touch each other

externally in the square now find the remaining perimeter
we hve to find the perimeter of what??...

Area of the square=a²=14²=196 cm²
diameter of semicircles are=14 cm
r=7 cm
These semicircles have same diameter so we can make it as a circle

area of the circle= πr²= 22/7*7²=22*7=154 cm²
area of the remaining= 196-154=42 cm²
