WHY DID THE ARTIST PORTRAY THE NOBLE MAN AS THE 'SPIDER' AND THE PEASANT AS 'FLY'? in the french revolution

1
It is because in French revolution Noble used to burden peasants by imposing taxes on them and they would be in complete economic crisis and finally they would die.In the same way spider trap the fly in its and finally kills it. Both the cases are very similar so they have been compared like this.
Spider feed on the fly for its survival. In the same way, the so called nobles of the French Revolution imposed heavy taxes on the peasants which caused so much turmoil for them. The nobles obviously lived by utilizing the taxes given. That's why the artist compares the nobles to the spider and the peasants to the fly.
