Notre Dame School , Vasai is a Catholic institution founded in june ,2004. Notre Dame School Prepares students for the CBSE Examination (Central Board of Secondary Education-All India). English is the medium of instruction. Marathi and Hindi are taught as second and languages.Education at Notre Dame School has for its aim to train young people for unselfish leadership, so that the student educated at Notre Dame will be able to :Change the oppressive structures of society by standing for justice and human rightsDirect their lives to God in faith and assist their fellow citizens in directing their lives to God , by helping,healing, reconciling and taking a firm stand on moral principles of honesty , integrity ,hardwork and freedomTo guide the students to develop those values that not only enrich their personality  but which will help bring about a change in the present set-up of society where there will be equality and justice for all. Therefore the following values are of prime importanceFAITH IN GODA deep inter –relationship with god that permeates his/her daily life and his/her contact with otherPersonal and group prayer to god whom he/she considers to be his/her loving FatherAcceptance of and respect for all religionDeepening and boarding of his/her religious convictions.A SENSE OF COMMUNITY Realizing that he/she belongs to a country that is rich in cultural heritage ,he/she developes patriotism and pride in India. As part of the school family , he/she specially developes awareness of the need of others and responds both to their spoken and unspoken wishes/demands by generously giving of his/her time ,talent ,service.He/she inculcates in himself/herself those social values which are a genuine response to others: responsibility, courtesy, honesty, punctuality ,loyalty , obedience ,generosity and diligence.He/she intergrates himself/herself readily with others of various social, religious ,cultural and economic backgrounds.As a citizen of the world , he/she takes a keen interest in what is happening in other countries and easily discusses and empathizes with the social and economic situations prevalent in them.Concern for justice and Equality:
Every Notre Dame student must be an agent of change in the unjust society in which we live He/She must devlop:
A genune love for the poor and needy .He/she must programme regular sessions during the week in which he/she has some positive contact and communication with the poor ,the illiterate , the needy and the suffering.A loving concern for different types of oppressions suffered by women , minorities ,underpaid labourers and weaker section of society .Proficient speaking and writing ability so that he/she can use his/her talents as a platform to speak and write against any injustices and oppressions suffered by others, applauding others’ achievements whenever possible.A willingness to involve himself/herself in programmes, projects , camps ,workshop, etc.in which he/she will be actively involved in helping the financially poor or deprived sections and marginalized people.
