A person jogged 10 times along the perimeter of a rectangular field at the rate of 12 kms per hour for 30 minutes. If the field has a length that is twice

its width, find the area of the field in square meters.

The length moved by man is 20(l+b)
where l-length b-width of the field
its speed is 12km/hr
so the distance/time=12
l+b=6/20 km
as l=2b
b=1/10 km
l=2/10 km
area of the field=lb=(1/10)(2/10)=1/50 km^2
 \frac{1}{50} km^2= \frac{10^6}{50}=20000 m^2
